Here's a generous tidbit: "Pia immediately picked up on my inexperience and made me feel as comfortable as a gal can feel in this position. As my legs went flying into the air, wax was applied to parts that had previously only been exposed in the bedroom. In less than 20 minutes, I was a free woman!" Want more? Check out www.tampabaybeauty.com. It's a Web site designed to help the common person play spa and salon detective while offering personal beauty care tips, coupons and half off "spa of the week" deals. The Spa Girl critiques are written with the regular person in mind. They aim to show readers what to expect at the spa. Like most sites, this one (which was featured in Lucky magazine) has lots of ads per page view, but at least they're for places offering bona fide beauty services. Carolyn Brundage, 31, of Chicago, runs the site. A beauty columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, she also runs companion beauty sites for Chicago and New York City. Since the site's launch in August, it's seen an average of 200,000 visitors a month. "I think Tampa is a very hip city, and I don't think anyone is speaking to that," said Brundage, a Brandon high school grad. "There's certainly not an online resource for women like me or for women like you who are a little younger and working who care about fashion and beauty."
